"Theres a smile in my mirror" is about change. It’s about changing. It’s about sobriety and friendship. It’s about your friend joe rogan. It’s about bummers. It’s about heaven and headaches, with stuff about reflections and smiling.

Everything was written and recorded in my bedroom on Whidbey Island and later my bedroom in West Seattle, besides some of the drums, those were recorded at the well loved Ken’s Korner practice space.

Band Update: without playing live shows/now living in different parts of the world/ overall scheduling difficulty plus a pandemic, I decided to make this album on my own. I think my intention was to feature some of the old members but that just never happened (with the exception of Shanti singing on one of the songs). I’m hoping to do some more stuff with them in the future.

Band Members Update: I still keep in touch with Erik on a semi regular basis. He’s going to a music school in Brussels learning how to be an audio engineer or something like that. He has fun and hangs out with Jonas a lot, who also just recently moved to Brussels!
Grant and I still get together every week to work on Memory Boys songs. We will be recording our final album in just a few weeks. He is the best and has shared much wisdom in the realm of songwriting and diy recording but most of all Grant has been extremely encouraging and makes me feel really good about my music and for that I’m totally grateful.
Joe has been very active with his project Woodbae and Treestar with his wife Nicole. We still share music from time to time and am happy to call him a lifelong friend.
And Shanti and I share a bedroom so we hang from time to time. Also she has been super supportive for the past 8 years and nothing is possible without her. Thanks for always being there. I love you Shanti!

Also special thanks to Gabe for all the work on the t shirts, promo animations, album cover and countless hours of phone calls and ideas and support and laughs and for being my best creative friend.
